Gov. Braun: RV manufacturer plans 115 jobs at new Bristol facility

BRISTOL, Ind.– Governor Mike Braun announced Wednesday that Boundless Recreation, a boutique recreational vehicle manufacturer, opened operations in Bristol with plans to create up to 115 high-wage jobs by the end of 2028. The company has already hired 45 employees and is positioned to strengthen Indiana’s dominance as the RV Capital of the World.

The announcement comes as Braun was expected to address hundreds of local and regional leaders this morning at IBJ Media’s Innovate Indiana series event in northern Indiana, highlighting momentum across economic, community and talent development in the South Bend-Elkhart region.

$2 Million Investment Fuels Manufacturing Expansion

Boundless Recreation is investing $2 million to start and scale operations at a 104,000-square-foot facility at 705 Maple St. in Bristol. The company, founded in 2025 by a team of seasoned RV professionals, is outfitting the space with advanced manufacturing equipment. Initial production began in October 2026.

“Indiana is known as the RV Capital of the World, and we’re thrilled to welcome yet another company to the sector and to our statewide economy,” Braun said. “Our commitment to making Indiana the best place to start and grow a business is paying off.”

Quality-First Approach Sets Company Apart

Nate Nickell, founder and president, said the company will offer fifth wheels and soon travel trailers with a focus on quality craftsmanship — designed to be easier to service, easier to maintain and built for years of dependable ownership.

“We founded Boundless Recreation because we believe the RV industry needs a different approach, one that puts quality components, thoughtful craftsmanship and accountability to the customer at the center of every decision,” Nickell said. “We’re proud to bring that vision to life in Indiana.”

New positions are expected to offer average salaries at 125% of the Elkhart County average.

Strengthening the RV Capital’s Dominance

The South Bend-Elkhart region produces approximately 80-88% of all RVs manufactured in the United States and Canada. Boundless Recreation joins a growing network of small businesses that account for 99.4% of all Indiana businesses and employ 1.2 million Hoosiers.

“Indiana is advancing its reputation as a top global destination for entrepreneurship and innovation thanks to the commitment of companies like Boundless Recreation,” said Indiana Secretary of Commerce Chuck Goodrich.

Building for Long-Term Success

With 45 employees already on board and plans to more than double that workforce by 2028, the company is positioned for sustained growth in one of the nation’s most concentrated manufacturing regions.
