Lenovo’s IdeaPad Slim 5i laptop is $650 off, but only through Saturday

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get yourself a new laptop for work and streaming or browsing, then now’s the time to grab this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i. Instead of shelling out $1,450, B&H is now selling it for just $800—a huge $650 discount. In the past, this would not have been a great price for it, but given the massive price spikes in PC parts due to the AI-driven hardware shortage, this is a strong buy right now.

This roomy 16-inch laptop comes with 16GB of DDR5 memory and 1TB of M.2 storage, just enough for a smooth and responsive experience whether you’re working, browsing, or streaming media. It runs on an entry-level Intel Core Ultra 5 processor with six cores, so don’t expect to push it hard with intensive tasks, heavy apps, or gaming (especially with no dedicated graphics card). It’s enough for basic Windows 11 performance.

That means the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i is ideal as a budget-conscious option for remote workers, students, and everyday users who just want to do simple things like browse the web, answer emails, and watch YouTube. The 16-inch 1920×1200 display offers enough room for productivity without feeling cramped, and the webcam is compatible with Windows Hello facial recognition unlocks. (like Apple’s FaceID). It’s rounded out with two USB-C ports with 100W power delivery, plus Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

B&H says this deal ends on Saturday, October 31st at 11:59 PM ET. If you’re in need of a simple but reliable laptop for the next few years, this one for $800 is not bad in 2026. For more options, check out PCWorld’s picks for the best overall laptops and best laptops for college on Amazon.
